Yet another cold spell is one the way in what is shaping up to be one of the greatest winters on record. The cold spell will be courtesy or a strong North-easterly wind which will send bitterly cold air down the country, the snow risk will increase as we go through the week, the models are currently hinting at a possible snow event in the East on Thursday/Friday but we will keep an eye on this.

Today is a mostly settled and dry day across the country with the exception of Scotland where some locally heavy showers will pop up, these wintry over the hills, it’s going to be a cloudy day for most as cloud and drizzle is being pulled in off the North-easterly breeze. These are likely to turn wintry down the east later in the day and many areas will see some flurries of snow before the afternoon is out. The best of the weather is the further south and west you are where here you will see some sunny spells.

A cold night in store with a ground frost for some, snow flurries will continue across the southeast of the country, elsewhere it’s a clear night with mist and fog forming.

A pretty much similar week ahead of us with cold north-easterly winds bring snow flurries to the east, further west it will be sunny and bright with the occasional cloudier spell, frost and ice will be an issue overnight as skies clear here. As mentioned earlier in the article the snow showers will become heavier and more frequent later in the week with a possible snow event in the east.

We have been informed today by a site visitor that Kwik Weather Forecasting Services has been given a poor safety and security reputation on the site my WOT. My WOT monitor many sites for safety and we have been given a poor.

This is a result of the site being hacked in December and a phishing site was put online under our domain, we acted fast on this but still not fast enough to avoid it being noticed. We would like to reassure all visitors old and new that the site is very safe and secure and that all precautions and security have been stepped up since the incident in December.
